Tara Chambler: The Television Series:
Tara is the first openly gay character on the show, and before the apocalypse she was in the police academy, and it's unsure whether or not she finished. She's the daughter of David, younger sister of Lilly and aunt of Meghan. Together they're holed up in an apartment complex when they meet Philip Blake, who was the Governor in Woodbury.
At first she is cold and hostile, but warms up to Philip and after he mercifully kills David, they leave the apartment to find a safer spot, which leads them to another community led by Philip's old townsmate Martinez. It's there she meets and falls in love with Alisha. When Philip declares war on Rick's group, she serves as part of the group and is shocked when he massacres massacres Hershel and shoots Meghan after she was bitten. She goes into shock as the battle begins, and Alisha is killed by Lizzie and Mika. After the raid is unsuccessful, she remains in an almost catatonic state as Walkers disembowel Lilly. She remains at the prison when Glenn comes to and saves her. She vows to make up for her mistake of trusting the Governor by helping Glenn find Maggie at any cost, and along the way they meet Abraham, Rosita and Eugene.
After Glenn and Maggie are reunited, and after the events of Terminus, Tara asks Rick for forgiveness and to be included in his group, which he readily agrees to because of how she helped Glenn find Maggie. Having a new home, her personality began to change, and she demonstrated a more friendly, compassionate and honest nature, and even was playful and funny.
When Abraham decides to leave Rick's group to go to DC, she readily goes with him along with Rosita, Eugene, Glenn and Maggie, and develops a deep friendship with Eugene. They return to Rick's group and together they head to Alexandria, where she's given the job of a supply runner. On their first run she is knocked unconscious and saved by Eugene, and she begins a relationship with Denise, the Alexandrian doctor. She assists with the horde attack and joins Rick's group against the Savior outpost. After the raid, she goes with Heath on a two-week supply run.
