Enid: The Television Series
Enid is a 16-year-old former student who was surviving with her parents on their own for an extended period of time. While trying to jump-start their car, her parents were ambushed and killed by Walkers, leaving her alone She kept surviving by gathering food and making a shelter for herself until she stumbled upon Alexandria, and reluctantly joined their community. She lived with Olivia for awhile, and it took three weeks for her to say a word to anyone. After she acclimated herself, she started dating Ron Anderson when Rick's group arrived.Carl sees her scaling the wall, and follows her into the woods, but she manages to hide from him. He does this again and she calls him out, saying she prefers being outside the walls than inside. She starts developing feelings for him, because he's like her - they're both outsiders - and that makes Ron jealous. During the Wolves attack, Enid tells Carl she's leaving for good because it cannot protect her, but agrees to help Carl protect Judith. After the attack, Carl discovered Enid had left, and finds a note from her that says "Just Survive Somehow," a mantra she's held onto through her time in this apocalyptic world.
She's found in a neighboring town after Glenn escapes a horde attack after hiding under a dumpster, and he finally convinces her to return to Alexandria, but by the time they got there they find the town overrun by the horde. Enid and Glenn see Maggie trapped on a teetering guard tower, and Enid comes up with a plan to rescue her. While Glenn distracts the horde, she climbs the tower and rescues Maggie, but then Glenn gets overrun and is rescued himself by Abraham, Sasha and Daryl. Together they take a tanker truck and set the lake on fire, drawing a big group of Walkers to their deaths.
After the horde attack, Enid decides to stay, and Maggie grows closer to her, even allowing Enid to cut her hair. Enid gets scared when Maggie doubles over, and wants to go with the group to Hilltop, but Carl locks her in a closet to keep her safe.
In the comics, Carol's daughter Sophia is still alive and is still with the group, and Maggie and Glenn sort of adopted her after Carol's death. It looks like Enid is taking the role of Sophia from the comics here, as she has a close relationship with both Glenn and Maggie. She's still a mysterious character who looks to develop more in the upcoming season.
