Shiva

"The Walking Dead" will enter its seventh season on October 23, and after leaving on a massive cliffhanger, excitement and anticipation are at all time highs. 

For the next few days I will be posting articles about the main characters you will see in the upcoming season, from faces we've seen since the first season to ones we'll be introduced to once season seven begins.

Shiva: The Comics

Shiva is a Bengal tiger that was born in captivity and raised by Ezekiel.  Before the apocalypse she led a normal life as a zoo tiger, and even though she attacked Ezekiel once, he never told anyone, thus keeping her safe.  She created a bond with Ezekiel that lasted after the outbreak, and after Ezekiel founded the Kingdom she became his pet, sitting at his side on a chain, and sleeps in a cage in his room.

Shiva aided Ezekiel in the battle against the Saviors, and she could eat Walkers without getting sick or affected by them.  When an attack goes array, Ezekiel runs into the woods, where he is ambushed by a horde of Walkers.  Shiva sacrifices herself to save her master by being devoured by the horde and allowing him to escape.

Shiva: The Television Series

Shiva will appear in the upcoming season, and as the trailer shows it looks like she will be very close to her comic book counterpart, as she sits at Ezekiel's side.
