**SERIOUSLY, SPOILERS WILL ABOUND
FROM HERE ON OUT**

Michonne: The Comics
Michonne is strong-willed, introverted, practical and skeptical, and constantly surveys her surroundings, quickly sizing up situations and their potential dangers.  She too easily falls in love with men she interacts with, and acknowledges how far gone she is, and it constantly pains her.  She works alone an quietly, wielding her signature katana, and is one of the strongest survivors.

She was one of four children, having a brother and two sisters, and practiced fencing as a child.  She went to college to study law, and became a successful attorney.  She married a man and had two daughters and lived in an average middle-class suburban neighborhood, and spent her free time weightlifting and watching football.  After divorcing her husband, she dated a man named Mike and was out of town when the outbreak began.  She lost contact with her daughters and doesn't know about their whereabouts, and finds a katana in her neighbor's house.  She then finds Mike and his friend Terry who had both become Walkers, and after learning they don't attack one other, cuts off their mouths and arms and chains them next to her to mask her scent.

She comes across Rick's group at the prison after rescuing Otis, and Rick reluctantly welcomes her.  She flirts with Tyreese an causes him to cheat on Carol, and is taken captive at Woodbury where the Governor beats, tortures and rapes her.  Before escaping she removes and mangles certain body parts of the Governor, and tries a sneak attack with Tyreese, which ends in him getting captured and beheaded.   After the prison is overrun, she tracks down Rick and Carl and make it to Alexandria, where she begins a relationship with Morgan.

At Alexandria she is named a constable by Douglas, and is left alone again after Morgan is bitten and dies.  She is heavily involved in the war against Negan and begins a new relationship with Ezekiel, but breaks up with him.  She leaves everyone to become a fisherwoman in Oceanside, and returns with strong feelings for Ezekiel still.  However, Ezekiel soon dies at the hands of Alpha, and Michonne is very distraught.  She becomes the new leader of the Kingdom and assists Rick with his war against the Whisperers.

Michonne: The Television Series
Michonne tends to work alone and keeps her past a secret, and trusts her gut.  She suffers from hallucinations where she talks to her dead boyfriend and was an attorney before the apocalypse.  She was dating a man named Mike and had a son named Andre, and after the apocalypse Andre had died, and Mike and his friend Terry were turned to Walkers.  Feeling guilt, remorse and anger, she cuts off Mike and Terry's bottom jaws and arms and used them as her Walker pets to mask her scent.

She finds Andrea in the woods and saves her from Walkers, and the two spend the next few months on the road alone.  They are taken captive and sent to Woodbury, where Andrea becomes assimilated to the group, but Michonne has her doubts, especially about the seemingly welcoming Governor.  She escapes Woodbury and makes it to the prison, where she slowly opens up to Rick and Carl.  They head back to Woodbury to kill the Governor, and she kills his Walker daughter.  They get into a fight and she stabs him in the eye with a shard of glass, but is stopped by Andrea from killing him.  She returns to the prison to help defend it against the Governor, and is there with Andrea after she is bitten and sits with her as she puts herself down.

At the prison she gains a horse named Flame, and has a desire to find and kill the Governor after what he did to her friend.  She is seen having issues with holding baby Judith, but when she does she breaks down in tears, saddened over the loss of her son.  She is then captured by the Governor with Hershel and her katana is used to cut off Hershel's head.  She manages to escape and kills the Governor before the prison is overrun.  She escapes on her own again and tries to live a solo life as before, but she can't do it anymore and she tracks down Rick and Carl.

Together they all make it to Alexandria, where she is given the job of a constable with Rick.  She assists in clearing out the horde after killing Ron, who tries to shoot Rick but instead shoots Carl.  She shows a deep motherly bond with Carl, and begins a romantic relationship with Rick.  She goes with them to Hilltop and again to the Savior outpost, and then goes off with Daryl, Glenn and Rosita to kill Dwight, but is taken captive and brought before Negan.

Why Michonne Could Die
Michonne is one of the strongest survivors, and could be seen as a huge threat to Negan.  Plus, she is in a relationship with Rick, and those who've been in a relationship with him in the past (Lori, Jessie) don't live very long.

Why Michonne Won't Die
If they hold to Negan's comic character, he won't kill women.  Plus she is one of the more unique characters on the show, and her absence would create a huge hole.  Also her relationship with Rick seems reminiscent of Andrea from the comics, and she's still alive there.
