**SERIOUSLY, SPOILERS WILL ABOUND

FROM HERE ON OUT**

Paul "Jesus" Monroe: The Comics
Paul is nicknamed Jesus due to his appearance and values, and even though he's a homosexual, it's never fully addressed.  He's rational, logical and thoughtful, has a knack for advising, and values justice and fairness.  He's serious, a natural survivalist, capable of extreme feats of human ability, good at hand-to-hand combat, and a great escape artist, having managed to escape the Saviors.

Jesus serves as Hilltop's ambassador and scouter, using these abilities to recruit people against the Saviors.  He's a quick thinker and great tactician, and one of Rick's most loyal allies.  He clashes with Gregory and decides to live in Alexandria with Rick, whom he considers as the leader humanity needs.

He's usually at the front lines of battle, be it against the Saviors or the Whisperers, he's always fighting for the good cause and serves as an almost unstoppable force.

Paul "Jesus" Rovia: The Television Series
Paul is nicknamed Jesus due to his appearance and values, and for the series his last name is changed to Rovia.  He's trained in martial arts and excels at hand-to-hand combat, and is also well versed in escape artistry, having gotten free from Rick and Daryl twice.

He arrives at Hilltop, and due to his abilities and experience he becomes their recruiter, scavenging for supplies and locating other communities to deal with.  He finds Rick and Daryl on the road and manages to escape them a couple times before he's wounded and taken to Alexandria.  There he escapes the prison and tells Rick about the Hilltop, and they go with him and set up a trade agreement, and then later goes with Rick and his group to a Savior outpost.

Paul "Jesus" Rovia: The Actor
Tom Payne was born December 21, 1982 in Chemsford, Essex, England.  Besides "The Walking Dead," he appeared in "The Physician," "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day," "My Funny Valentine" and "Winter."
