**SERIOUSLY, SPOILERS WILL ABOUND
FROM HERE ON OUT**

Abraham Ford: The Comics
Brave, pragmatic and short tempered, Abraham thrives in the heat of combat, and enjoys a good fight.  On the outside he seems violent, cold and detached, but beneath the facade he is sensitive and feels guilt.  He's desperate for emotional support, and used to live in Houston with his ex-wife Beth, 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter, who all died at the start of the apocalypse.

Not having a sense of direction, he meets Eugene Porter, who told him he knew what caused the epidemic and convinces him to take him to DC.  He then meets and gets into a relationship with Rosita, and gets with Rick's group at Hershel's farm.  He grows to accept Rick's group, becoming the main enforcer and a co-leader with Rick.  After Eugene reveals his lie, he comes despondent and questions his leadership abilities, stepping down as a leader.

At Alexandria he becomes the head of the construction crew after saving Holly from a Walker attack, and eventually cheats on Rosita with her, telling Rosita he never loved her but it was about her being the last woman on earth.  He's later seen with Eugene lamenting his decision when Dwight shoots him through the eye, yet he finishes his sentence before he dies, telling Eugene that he loved Rosita and wants her to be happy.

Abraham Ford: The Television Series
Abraham is a reckless man, a proud individual and has a short temper and an equally profound wittiness about him.  He's a living juxtaposition between recklessness and wisdom, showing himself to be wise and thoughtful.  The apocalypse has been hard on him, as he's a depressed, hopeless shell of his former self, afflicted with PTSD and unable to continue without having a clear mission.

He lived in Houston with his wife Ellen, son AJ and daughter Becca, but they all died at the beginning of the apocalypse.  He was ready to kill himself when he met Eugene Porter, who told him he knew what caused the epidemic and convinces him to take him to DC.  Now having a purpose, he finds new life in the new world and begins a relationship with Rosita, and stops at nothing to fulfill his mission.

He meets Rick's group and is still adamant in taking Eugene to DC, when Eugene reveals to him his lie.  This causes Abraham to knock him unconscious and he becomes depressed again, lacking a purpose.  At Alexandria, he becomes the head of the construction crew after rescuing Francine from a Walker attack and develops feelings for Sasha, since the two both have combat experience and both suffered from PTSD.  He eventually dumps Rosita for her, and then helps protect the town from the horde attack.  He sees hope in a future by seeing Glenn and Maggie and their unborn baby, and has a new sense of life.  He travels with Rick's group to take out the Savior outpost, and is with the group again when they're ambushed and taken by Negan, and is one of the few characters who has outlived his comic book counterpart.

Why Abraham Could Die
Abraham has received a lot more airtime as of late, which typically means the end is near.  When Negan held the bat to him, Abraham was the only one of the group who stood up to it in a sign of bravery.  He's already outlived his comic counterpart, so it could be the end for him.

Why Abraham Won't Die
Abraham was supposed to die a few episodes ago with an arrow through the eye, but it was Denise who bit the dust instead.  There could be a purpose for him being spared, and he could once again survive, but it's very doubtful.
