FROM HERE ON OUT**

Heath: The Comics
In the comics, Heath was one of the original Alexandrian residents, and served as a supply runner.  He cares about his fellow survivors, but is also cynical and judgmental.  He was found by Rick's group on a supply run in Washington DC and was rescued by them.  At first he was apprehensive of Rick's group, but grew to respect them, so much as having Glenn be his supply run partner after his friend was hospitalized.

On a run they get overrun and Heath shoots his gun, which attracts the horde as well as the Scavengers to Alexandria.  Then his friend dies, and at the funeral Pete lashes out at Rick and kills Regina, and Rick then kills Pete.  The herd attacks, and during the attack Heath, Spencer and Glenn try to save Andrea from the tower, but they get trapped there too.  After the herd attack, Nicholas approaches him in hopes of taking Rick out, but Heath sides with Rick.  He then goes with Rick, Carl and Michonne to Hilltop to drop off Maggie, Glenn and Sophia when they're ambushed by Negan.  Negan chooses not to kill him due to his skin color, and witnesses his good friend Glenn receiving the bad side of Lucille.

After returning to Alexandria, Michonne starts flirting with him, but he repels her advances since he's in a relationship with Denise.  Negan then arrives at Alexandria with Holly, who had turned into a Walker, and she bites Denise in the arm.  Heath runs to her aid, but looses one of his legs from a grenade one of Negan's men throws at him.  Denise sacrifices herself to get Heath to the infirmary, and two years later Heath now has a prosthetic leg and works in Hilltop on the herd-cattle crew with Jesus, Aaron, Rosita and Eugene.

Heath: The Television Series
On the show, Heath is intelligent, cynical and serious-minded, as well as sarcastic, but not angry or ill-tempered.  He shows great care to his fellow survivors and is hesitant to kill another living person.  He, along with Scott and Annie, serve as the supply runners for the town, and they're the ones who discover the quarry herd.

As they make plans to take care of the herd, he overhears Rick tell Michonne to leave them behind if need be, since he feels the Alexandrians aren't totally prepared for what the world is like.  He goes on a run with Glenn, Nicholas, Michonne, Annie, Scott, David and Sturgess, and they get overrun and take refuge in a pet shop.  Sturgess dies, and Glenn and Nicholas leave to cause a distraction for the horde, and while they're gone he confronts Michonne about what Rick said.  Michonne tells him that they're in it together, and during their escape David and Annie are killed.

When the herd hits Alexandria, he hides in the infirmary with Aaron and Spencer, and aids Denise in taking care of Carl.  When he sees Rick go out to fight the horde, he convinces the others to help him.  In their fight against the Saviors, he goes with Rick's group to attack an outpost, but he can't kill anyone, until he and Glenn are ambushed.  After the raid, he goes with Tara on a two week supply run.

It looks in the previews for season seven that Heath and Tara find some troubles of their own, and it could be an introduction to the Oceanside community.
