Starring Connor Storrie, Lilly Krug, Tudor Chirila, Serban Pavlu
Directed by Michel K. Parandi
In the future, brother and sister Baxter (Connor Storrie) and April (Lilly Krug) are surviving by doing shady work - Baxter as a black market grifter and April as someone who records her dreams and sells them to a local gangster. When April goes missing, Baxter relies on April's dreams and memories to track her down.
There's honestly not a lot of time I want to waste with this review, because the movie itself is a waste of time. It meanders its way far too slowly for a 90-minute movie, with editing not doing the movie any favors. It hops from one scene to the next where Baxter is given the same dialogue: "I'm just looking for my sister," "I need to find my sister," "you know where my sister is," and so on. Connor Storrie does this with the same intensity as ordering a Big Mac, and his voice-over exposition is equally dry. The action is nonexistent, the film tries to focus on too many ideas such as human cloning, sex work and body part trafficking, and all the while never really making a lick of sense. Merely forgettable, but also a waste of time to boot.
The Score: D-
