Worst2First: My Top Ten Films Dealing With Mathematics

Worst2First:  My Top Ten Films Dealing With Mathematics In high school, math was never one of my strong suits, and remains so to this day.  Thankfully I have a calculator on my cell phone, otherwise I'd be a goner.  Math never really interested me as much as other subjects, such as geography and history, and I just found it boring. Yet, as I've been watching films, I've noticed a lot of them dealing with the topic of mathematics.  Either a biopic about a famous mathematician, using math to cheat the system or finding hidden mathematical formulas in history, there's no shortage of films that deal with the topic of mathematics. Here are my top ten films dealing with mathematics, worst2first... **THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS** #10 The Number 23 Directed by Joel Schumacher ("Flatliners"), "The Number 23" stars Jim Carrey as a man obsessed with the number 23, and sees it as a repeating pattern in his life that could open the door for...

The Synopsis: When I first heard they were making a movie based off the incredibly campy 80s television series, my first thought was: Why?  There is absolutely no good reason to resurrect a long-dead...

Major Theatrical Releases June 2017 As the temperature rises outside, the caliber of movies being released to theaters also increase.  June brings us some blockbuster franchises, raunchy comedies, biopic stories and animated features for old and young to enjoy. Here are the major theatrical releases for June 2017. **There will be no spoilers** **Also, dates are still subject to change** June 2 Wonder Woman  Wonder Woman was easily the best part of "Batman v Superman," and now she's finally ready to step into the spotlight as the first female-led superhero movie hits the big screen.  Already being hailed by critics as the best superhero movie since "The Dark Knight," Gal Gadot epitomizes the essence of Wonder Woman in a way no other actress could (sorry Megan Fox, we know you had your heart set on playing the Princess of Themyscira, but let's face it, you'd blow it).  Guess it takes a woman to make a great DC superhero movie. ...

Worst2First: My Top Ten Video Game Films

Image
Worst2First:  My Top Ten Video Game Films It has to be said that movies based off video games are not very good.  Even my "best" list is a bunch of mediocre-level quality films that are only passable because they're either too outlandish to believe, or they fully accept their own cheeky existence and runs with it. For a list of my worst video game films, check out: http://joemamamoviereview.blogspot.com/2016/04/worst2first-worst-video-game-films.html Meanwhile, here is my top ten favorite video game films, worst2first. **THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS** #10 Assassin's Creed When you get two Oscar winners (Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons) and two Oscar nominees (Michael Fassbender and Charlotte Rampling) in a video game film adaptation, you expect it to be at least tolerable.  Taking on aspects of the long-running video game franchise, "Assassin's Creed" focuses on a man's past ancestor who was an Assassin and pulls his knowledge ...
