Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell Directed by James Gunn What is the movie about? Having established themselves as the Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) are hired by the Sovereign race to protect priceless batteries in exchange for Gamora's sister Nebula (Karen Gillan).  However, when Rocket steals the batteries and insults their race, the Sovereigns set out to destroy the Guardians.  Meanwhile, Peter meets a mysterious man named Ego (Kurt Russell), who claims he's Peter's real father.  Who is involved in the movie? Major Theatrical Releases May 2017 May is the start of the summer blockbuster season, and this month has its shares of highly anticipated movies, from another take on the Arthurian legend to a movie based off a long-dead television franchise and a return visit of our favorite Guardians, May has something for everyone. Here are the major theatrical releases for May 2017. **There will be no spoilers** **Also, dates are still subject to change** May 5 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 The surprise hit of 2014 returns in its highly anticipated sequel, as we reunite with our favorite Guardians of the Galaxy as they once again save the galaxy from evil.  This film centers on Peter's patronage, as he's finally reunited with his father - played by Kurt Russell - and how this will affect his team.  No doubt it will be a huge hit, and kids all over will be crying for a Baby Groot of their very own - not that I would be crying for one...no...not at all... ...

Young Sheeta (Anna Paquin) is being chased by a secret government organization ran by Muska (Mark Hamill), and also by a gang of air pirates ran by Dola (Cloris Leachman), both are after a magical stone she possesses.  When she nearly dies, the stone allows her to float to safety, where she is found by young Pazu (James Van Der Beek), who offers to protect her. Pazu has been in search of the mythical Laputa, a mysterious floating island found by his father, but no one else believes him.  Sheeta learns that she belongs in Laputa, and her amulet is the key to finding the island, which is why everyone wants it.  Their adventure leads them through some visually beautiful landscapes and unites the most opposite of people for the betterment of humankind. The Circle Starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Karen Gillan Directed by James Ponsoldt What is the movie about? Based off a book by Dave Eggers, "The Circle" focuses on Mae Holland (Emma Watson), a lively young woman who is given the job of a lifetime at The Circle - a mixture between Apple and Google where everyone is under the age of thirty, they all speak technical jargon like their first language, and they're all into the hip, new trends. The founders of the corporation are Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks) and Tom Stenton (Patton Oswalt), who hold TED-like conferences where they announce the newest Circle ideas.  Their most recent idea involves a minuscule camera that can be placed anywhere and not only does it capture what it sees, but sends information back to the Circle. Bad Moms Starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate Directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore What is the movie about?
