The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7 Review

The Walking Dead Sing Me a Song Season 7 Episode 7 Review **SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW, EPISODE AND COMICS FOLLOW, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK** "Sing Me a Song" is the penultimate episode before the mid-season finale, and the show has been suffering this season from lack of excitement and focusing too much on secondary characters and elongating journeys that could've been cut in half.  Besides the volcanic first episode, and the great second episode featuring Morgan, Carol, Ezekiel and SHIVA, the remaining episodes have been just alright at best.  We didn't need to see a whole episode of Daryl being traumatized at the Sanctuary, nor a whole episode of Tara at Oceanside (the two could've been combined into one 90 minute episode and it would've been fine).  Maggie and Sasha's experience at Hilltop was a decent episode, but that too could've been leaned down so we could see more of the Kingdom, since we haven't visited there since the second ep...

Allied Starring Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard, Jared Harris, Matthew Goode Directed by Robert Zemeckis The Story: Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) is a Canadian intelligence officer sent to Casablanca to assassinate the German ambassador in the midst of World War II.  He goes undercover, pretending to be the husband of French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard).  The two effortlessly play the part of a married couple and during their time roleplaying they actually fall in love.  After the mission, Max brings Marianne back to London, they get married and have a child. All is blissful for the couple when Max is called in and told that his wife could be a German spy, and is shown evidence that seriously points to that conclusion.  He's told to not interfere, but if it turns out that Marianne is a spy, he'll have to kill her himself.  He sets out to prove his wife is really who she says she is, and with time running out, it becomes a heavily d...

Major Theatrical Releases December 2016

Major Theatrical Releases December 2016 As 2016 draws to a close, the cinema offers a little bit of something for everyone: horror, comedy, animated, action, drama and especially a highly-anticipated movie that takes place in a galaxy far, far away... Here are the major theatrical movies being released in December 2016. (Dates are subject to change) December 2 Incarnate Basically a mixture of "The Exorcist," "Insidious" and "Inception," "Incarnate" actually looks to be an unnerving horror tale about a man who can go inside the mind of someone possessed and save them without religious methods.  Even though it's only rated PG-13 (most horror films aren't as good when they're more family-friendly), it still looks rather terrifying with a lot of dark motifs and featuring Aaron Eckhart in the lead role. December 9 Office Christmas Party In order to save his company from his much-maligned,...

The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 6 Review

The Walking Dead Swear Season 7 Episode 6 Review **SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW, EPISODE AND COMICS FOLLOW, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK** Back in last season, after Rick and company assassinated a bunch of Saviors while they slept (they thought they had killed them all, including Negan, those foolish people), Tara and Heath decided to depart for a two-week supply run.  It was weird that it was the two of them, since they never really had any connection on the show, but in reality it was because Corey Hawkins (Heath) was filming his new show "24: Legacy", and Alanna Masterson (Tara) was about to have a baby.  So the writers sent them off to accomplish those real life goals, and they were blissfully unaware of the terror the rest of Alexandria has faced, including Negan's subjugation of the colony, the deaths of Abraham and Glenn (the former would totally wreck Tara since Glenn was the one who rescued her after the Governor's attack on the prison), and the death of Den...

Worst2First:  My Most Anticipated Films Winter 2016-2017 With the arrival of winter, it's also time for the dramatic movies to take form on the big screen.  This winter brings a lot of different films to the table, and it's shaping to be a great winter at the movies.  There's several films to look forward to, and I picked ten of the films I'm most excited to see this winter (which, to my definition, falls between December-February). **There will be no spoilers since the films  aren't actually released yet. Also, the release dates are subject to change.** #10 Hidden Figures January 6 Featuring an all-star cast including Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Parsons, "Hidden Figures" tells the true-life story of a team of African American women in the 60s who were pivotal in providing the mathematical data to successfully send a man into space.  With Oscar nominee Henson and ...

The Walking Dead Go Getters Season 7 Episode 5 Review **SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW, EPISODE AND COMICS FOLLOW, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK** When we last left Maggie and Sasha, they were mourning the deaths of their significant others at the hands of Negan and Lucille.  Maggie vowed revenge against Negan, and the two continued on to the Hilltop alone so Maggie could get help with her pregnancy pains. Now it's a few days later, and Maggie is recuperating from her pains and the baby is thankfully alright - seriously, if anything happens to that kid, Maggie would go down as one of television's most screwed over characters - and she's mourning for Glenn in her own way.  They managed to have them buried proper at Hilltop with crosses and everything, and she lays the pocket watch her father gave Glenn at his grave.  As Sasha joins her, the two mourn with steely resolve, saddened over their loss but determined to move on and gain revenge.  Jesus then joins them and we ...
